Tuesday 11/8 So is playing at Brick and Mortar in SF with the North Sky Cello Ensemble from NYC. It’s always a pleasure to see fellow cellists experimenting with their instruments, and this show will be no exception. For this tour they’re joined by drummer Brian Chase from the Yeah Yeah Yeahs. Cool!

Opera on Tap, a very cool group that does casual concerts at Cafe Royale in SF is doing an all baroque show Wednesday 11/16, and I’ll be filling the continuo role. From their website: Opera on Tap is a non-profit organization whose mission is to break down the stereo-type that opera is a stuffy or elitist art form by bringing it to bars. Local singers let their hair down and bring you into what feels like an after hours back stage party, singing some of opera’s best known and little known pieces in a friendly, relaxed atmosphere.
